Carmen Gordon, a member of the Blooming Ladies Co-op community, will be teaching us how to make the Venezuelan Arepas (Reina Pepeada).

Venezuelan’s meal – Carmen’s recipe
Ingredients
Dough:
2 cups corn flour (Harina Pan), white or yellow
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups water
1 teaspoon oil (any you want)
For the filling “Reina Pepeada “
250 gr skinless, boneless, shredded cooked chicken breast.
1 ripe Hass avocado, pitted, peeled, and chopped.
¼ cup mayonnaise.
2 tablespoon minced fresh parsley.
2 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro.
2 garlic cloves, minced.
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion.
Additional shredded cheese, any you like.
And for spice, some minced jalapeno.
You will need a bowl to make the dough, a skillet, and a preheat oven 380 F.
