ABOUT US

OUR STORY

Blooming Ladies was started by Wunmi Akinlosotu as a sole proprietorship in 2017. She has a passion to create a global sisterhood where women could make connections, become inspired, while having access to resources that would impact both their lives and communities. Blooming Ladies started with hosting events for female entrepreneurs, providing them with the inspiration, connection, and resources they needed to build a thriving life and business.

When Wunmi was searching for the best business model/structure to grow the sisterhood, the Co-operative model stood out as the best option. Wunmi was joined by Kate Onakomaiya, Kimberley Mills, Oyebola Ogunsanwo, Nicole Ragguette and Tolu Amadi. Together their vision to empower women was set in motion with a mission to change how the world works together.

The Blooming Ladies Multi-Stakeholder Cooperative is set up as the Canadian arm of Blooming Ladies Global.
As part of the cooperative, members participate in business decisions that focus on local sustainability and financial rewards. Cooperatives serve as engines of growth, creating jobs, generating returns, and creating value for their members.

Blooming Ladies was founded on the belief that much can be achieved by working together with like-minded people, with the right support system(s) and accessible resources.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to have a global sisterhood of empowered women that support each other to grow and succeed, create opportunities, drive change, and create a lasting legacy.
